Partial Dentures - Flexible Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are used when you still have some natural teeth remaining.  This type of denture will fill the gaps in your dentition, restoring aesthetics and your ability to chew.  Your denturist will be able to decide what type of partial denture is right for you based on your specific needs.

Flexible partial dentures

Flexible partial dentures use a type of plastic that can flex.  This feature can make flexible partial dentures very comfortable for patients and offers an aesthetic advantage by eliminating the metal clasps. The clasps are still present like in other partial dentures but are made from a durable plastic material. Sometimes the clap material can match natural colour of the teeth to blend in with the surrounding dental anatomy.  Although a popular new choice for patients, flexible partial dentures are not well suited for everyone.  Your Denturist will be able to best explain whether or not you are a candidate for flexible partial dentures. You can always contact our office if you have any questions or discuss this option the next time you have an appointment at our denture clinic in Coldwater.
